MCCA SEMINAR SERIES 5 – Mergers & Acquisitions

MCCA SEMINAR SERIES 5 – Mergers & Acquisitions

Investment between South East Asian markets continues apace, including by Malaysian businesses looking overseas for growth opportunities. This seminar will be of interest to businesses in Malaysia, in South East Asia or from further afield who are currently considering, are currently pursuing or are simply interested in cross-border investment in the region. One particular point of interest is that foreign investment restrictions differ significantly from one jurisdiction to another so, although ASEAN is gradually becoming more of an integrated market, it is important to understand the specific restrictions and requirements associated with investing in each location.

From this seminar, attendees will gain an overview of these restrictions and requirements and the methods that can be used in order to ensure compliance with the local investment regimes.

The seminar will cover the following topics: recent developments and overview of M&A in South East Asia, FDI restrictions in the region, and, ways of structuring investments into South East Asian jurisdictions.
